For applications requiring plan check, the city currently states an average of 2–4 weeks. Permit Validity and Inspections

The city states that, after issuance, applicants have one year to complete the project. Construction permits require inspection after completion. For commercial work, after required inspections are complete and the building is found compliant, the inspector issues a Certificate of Occupancy or Certificate of Completion, as applicable.
