Building Permits in Medford

The City of Medford Building Safety Department administers building permits and inspections within City jurisdiction under Oregon's statewide specialty-code system.

The 2025 Oregon Structural Specialty Code and 2025 Oregon Mechanical Specialty Code became mandatory for applicable new applications on April 1, 2026. Medford offers onsite and qualifying virtual inspections. The City states that inspection requests received by 7 a.m. can be scheduled for the same day.
