Building Permits in Beaumont

Beaumont's Building Codes division administers building permits and inspections through the City's online CityWorks permit portal.

Permits and inspections

Permit applications are submitted through the City's portal. Beaumont states that inspection requests must be scheduled by the permit holder through CityWorks and are not scheduled by phone.

Occupancy

For applicable commercial occupancy, Beaumont states that a new building or change in occupancy cannot proceed until the Building Official issues a Certificate of Occupancy. The City's published existing-business CO application fee is $125; this figure is not treated as a general building-permit fee.
