Express Permitting Is Limited

Hollywood's Express Permitting Service provides same-day plan review only for specifically listed stand-alone residential permits: A/C replacement, water-heater replacement, reroof, and electrical service change. Applications must meet the City's program requirements and submission window. Historic-district review can delay an application.

This limited program must not be described as a universal same-day building-permit service.

Inspections

Hollywood provides automated and online inspection scheduling. The City states that requests entered Monday through Thursday before 8 p.m. are scheduled for the next business day; weekend requests are scheduled for the second business day. These are inspection-scheduling rules, not plan-review deadlines.
